	Off to the Races...Happy 4th!!!

Yep, going to my first race....I thought I would put up the new thread now, so I can add pictures when I get back...well, I do have to job #2 at 8:00am the Sunday following the NIGHT race, but as soon as I recover, I will post pics.

At job #1 (been there almost 10 years)in order to have a Monday conversation, it became clear I needed to know a bit about NASCAR...my sales guys loved it-my desk is the "watercooler". SO, I picked a rookie that year and made him "My Guy" to root for. In a truely womanly manner of chosing something like a NASCAR driver, I chose a driver with a number that matched my age at the time, very scientific.

Lucky ME...it has been fun watching the races over the last few years and having fun conversation come Monday morning.

One of the salesman at work is a bit NASCAR connected, and a HUGE fan. One of his goals is to attend a race at every venue before he cant. He could retire, after 52 years in the boating industry, but he is still having fun and can travel when he wants. This past Feb, he asked me if, for my birthday, would I like to attend the Daytona Race on July 4th....Well, you know the answer...

So,heres the scoop...We get to park in the Executive Parking lot, Great seats in the Tower, right on turn 1-as cars come off pit row, PIT PASSES for access prior to the race...and this week I learned...we will stand with Mark Martin(alas, not Jimmy)for the driver introductions which will include a photo op!!!!

I know they will NOT drive my age...Cant wait!

Why my day is so special!My fantastic girls!!Gonna go to breakfast in a bit and then to the beach!!Have a great day everyone!Later that day....At our traditional Mothers day lunch spot (JB's Fish Camp in New Smyrna beach) we watched a dolphin get a bit of dinner too..it was awesome.

Gotta love a sucessful rocket launch. Gosh, I have fond memories of the "moon walk" party I went to back in da day. You cannot be jaded, no matter how may you have seen.
